I am basically a scaredy-cat at heart, so I watch with amazement how the world is experienced by the four people who came to live with my husband and I to form our family. They have fearlessly explored under (swim), trekked the surface (sup), and flown over (soar) the globe.
 
Swim
They are all excellent swimmers (one has attained her scuba diving licence) and have played in the earth's oceans and rivers and waterfalls.
 
Sup
From backyards to snow fields with friends; from deserts and rainforests in sleeping bags and tents on camping trips and safaris; to the woeful and to the classy restaurants of cities around the world, they have eaten and drunk things I don't think I can even paint.
 
Soar
Three of them were born overseas and they have all crisscrossed the globe - two have bungy jumped from Victoria Falls. Airport delivery/pickup is as common as celebrating birthdays. Settling down in one spot and "security" are simply not on the agenda, and with no money and at the drop of a hat, they just go.
